About Us

CMW Geosciences is a specialised geotechnical consultancy, delivering services across a variety of sectors including infrastructure, energy & resources, and land development & buildings. 

We are a collective of like-minded Geotechnical Engineers, Engineering Geologists and Geophysists who have come together to deliver specialised geotechnical solutions for our clients.

Since being established in 2012, CMW Geosciences continued to grow, with offices operating across Australia and New Zealand and servicing a global client base.

We prefer close working relationships that focus on our clients’ needs, in order to tailor our geotech services towards specific project goals. 

Our team is committed to technical excellence and its application throughout the full project life cycle.

A Kiwa Company

In September 2022, CMW Geosciences became part of the Kiwa family.

Kiwa is a leading global specialist in testing, inspection and certification (TIC), training and consultancy, and includes two other Australian companies who complement CMW’s specialised geotechnical offering: Construction Sciences and Trilab.

Construction Sciences has over 47 testing labs and 900 staff across Australia / New Zealand. We are able to leverage their services, together with that of Trilab who specialise in soil and rock testing.

CMW Geosciences is committed to keeping all staff safe. We continually strive to provide safe engineering solutions and prevent injuries in the workplace.

Our philosophy is based around understanding the risks and hazards present in our work and reducing both the hazard and potential consequences.

We do this through effective training, formalised sharing of knowledge from experienced staff to others, and learning from non-conformances.

We carry out our Health and Safety policy consistently and reliably by working to documented procedures.

All staff are required to implement and apply these procedures to their work and to constantly look for new and innovative ways to improve.

Our team is committed to the continual improvement of these procedures in a controlled and systematic manner.
