CMW Geosciences continue to provide geotechnical input for the prestigious Ritz Carlton project which is located within the new Elizabeth Quay precinct in Perth, Western Australia.
We have been working with Probuild from the start of the tender process, developing the design of a three level basement to allow fast efficient construction, whilst managing the geotechnical risks associated with the basement construction adjacent to the Swan River. To the left of the picture you can see some of the CFA piles with the steel plunge columns exposed and the adjacent tension CFA piles waiting to be trimmed back. The construction is being carried out in a top down approach, this allows the construction of the core and above ground structure of the three level basement excavation.
